Professional Development
Our professional development courses are designed by experienced school leaders and teachers, with extensive experience of delivering leadership and teacher training programmes. You will engage critically with concepts, principles, theories and best practices from around the world, apply your new learning to your leadership or teaching practice and formatively evaluate your experiences to plan further development.
Careers Advice
Our school leaders share their experience of their own career progression to headship and their experiences of recruiting teachers and leaders. You will gain an insight into the rationale behind interview tasks and questions and learn how to prepare your responses to meet the recruitment criteria.
As well as demonstrating that you can achieve excellent student progress, you also need to be able to convince a Headteacher that you are ready to take on any new role that you are applying for. Many teachers and middle leaders only start to think about this when they want to apply for jobs. They then find that they are not able to demonstrate that they have the skills, qualities and experience needed to convince a Headteacher to appoint them.
